I really enjoyed the fact that we get to know Kirill as a person in this book, in the first book we found out a little about his life before he joined the military, but in this book we learn so much more about his childhood, his family and his relationships with the people closest to him. Though Kirill has to get to the bottom of what happened while they were in Russia. They both have family secrets that affect each other, but they aren’t about to bring those secrets to light without possibly endangering one or both of them. The Story: The last book ended with a huge cliffhanger which changed everything between Sasha and Kirill. Kirill brought some of his closest men with him when he was in the military and they returned with him to the US along with Sasha, who is now one of his bodyguards. The Hero: Kirill – he had a horrible childhood and broke free from his father when he joined the military in Russia, but has since come home to learn the family business and eventually take over for his father as one of the top leaders of the Russian Bratva. She suspected his father was the one who ordered her family slain and is out to prove it and get revenge. Since then Sasha has been hiding as a male soldier named Aleksander, until going to work for the Bratva in the US with her commander, Kirill.
